Ceramic car coatings are more durable than car waxes and the maximum benefits last much longer. For instance, a 2 year ceramic coating will protect your vehicle for at least 2 years if not longer. On the other hand, a car wax is not as durable and needs to be reapplied every 4-6 weeks.

This isn’t a problem if you enjoy taking care of your vehicle and want to do it by hand. However, the time involved in reapplying a car wax can make a ceramic coating more appealing because it doesn’t need to be reapplied as frequently.
