Wintertime is coming quickly, bringing shorter days with it. Shorter days means less natural daylight, especially during the crucial times of the day when we are all driving to and from work.

With less daylight, we are going to be relying on our headlights to light our way, but how well are our headlights actually working?

On November 9th, we returned to the home of one of our long time clients to work on their family vehicle. While not the primary daily driver, the secondary vehicle is often used when the whole family is going places, like to a friend or family’s house for Thanksgiving/Christmas parties.

The headlights on the truck were severely oxidized and were not putting out the amount of light you really need to be safe while driving.

So what we will do, we will sand down all the dead plastic of this lens by starting out at a 800 grit sandpaper and then going all the way up to a 3,000 grit, which will remove the finer scratches. Then we will polish the lens for ultra clarity. Then we will apply a long-term ceramic coating, which will prevent any future damage to the lens.
